About Us

Kimberly Harris

With over 19 years of experience in education, Ms. Harris brings a deep passion for student growth, instructional excellence, and building strong school communities. She began her career as a classroom teacher, spending 13 years teaching across various grade levels—four of those years in Broward County, Florida, before relocating to Knox County, Tennessee. In Knox County, she has had the privilege of teaching at both Hardin Valley Elementary and A.L. Lotts Elementary, where she further developed her love for fostering student success and collaborating with dedicated educators.

In August of 2019, Ms. Harris transitioned into school administration as the Assistant Principal at Northshore Elementary. In 2022, she was appointed Executive Principal at Bonny Kate Elementary, where she led a dedicated team focused on academic achievement and student growth. In 2023, Ms. Harris returned to Northshore Elementary, this time as Executive Principal where she continues serving this vibrant school community with a commitment to excellence, equity, and innovation in education.

Ms. Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Masters in Instructional Leadership from Carson Newman University.

Ches Betz

Ches Betz serves as an Assistant Principal at Northshore Elementary, a role he has held since 2021. He began his career with Knox County Schools in 2011 as a teacher at Farragut Middle School before moving into the role of Instructional Coach. He later served as Assistant Principal at Farragut Primary School for four years prior to joining the Northshore team.

Throughout his career, Mr. Betz has worked with students of all ages and partnered with families to support every child’s growth and success.  Mr. Betz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.

At Northshore, he is proud to work alongside dedicated educators and supportive families to create the best possible learning experience for students.

Stacy Hilliard

Stacy Hilliard has dedicated her career to serving students and supporting educators across Knox County Schools. She currently serves as the Intermediate Grades Principal at Northshore Elementary (2022–present), where she is committed to growing every student and fostering a positive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.

Before joining Northshore, Stacy served as Assistant Principal at Farragut Intermediate School (2017–2022), where she helped lead instructional initiatives and supported school-wide growth. She also served as a TPAC Coach at Vine Middle School  (2014–2017) and as an ELA Coach for Knox County Schools (2012–2014), where she worked directly with teachers to strengthen literacy instruction.

Stacy began her career as a classroom teacher at Cedar Bluff Intermediate School, where she built her foundation as an educator devoted to student success.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for collaboration, instructional leadership, and creating opportunities for every child to thrive.

Stacy holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Marymount University, as well as a Master's Degree in Elementary Instruction from the University of Tennessee, and an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.
